Nutritional Guidelines (per serving)

(Nutrition information is calculated using an ingredient database and should be considered an estimate.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a waffle maker to medium heat.
  2. Cut each mozzarella string cheese in half and then push each half onto a skewer.
  3. In a medium bowl whisk together milk, flour, eggs, and baking powder until well combined. Stir in leftover mashed potatoes until a smooth, fairly thick batter forms.
  4. Brush the waffle maker on both sides with melted softened Country Crock® Original Spread.
  5. Dip each skewered string cheese into the potato batter so the entire piece of cheese is covered with batter. Place onto waffle griddle with skewer pointed out and enough space for 3 more skewers. Repeat with 3 other mozzarella string cheese pieces.
  6. Cook the mozzarella string cheese skewers in the waffle maker for about 2-3 minutes, or until the outside is golden brown.
  7. Serve with pizza marinara sauce for dipping and enjoy!
To achieve perfection with your potato mozzarella stick waffles, mastering the proper use of your waffle maker is key! Our top tip is to forgo nonstick sprays, as they may not reach all the crevices as effectively as a pastry brush with Country Crock Original Spread.
